Members Information

Membership at Ferndown Forest is more than just playing golf. It is a way of meeting new people, playing socially or competitively and feeling part of a Club. Below is information about being a member at Ferndown Forest as well as the downloads for the club rules and more. If you have any questions please email golf@ferndownforestgolfcourse.co.uk or ask in the golf shop where the staff will happily help.

Tee Bookings - When you join as a member you will receive a welcome email with information about the club and a second email with your online booking login. This can be used on our website or via the Ferndown Forest app which can be downloaded from the App Store. Tee times can also be made over the phone or in person through the golf shop.

Tee Time Booking Rights - Full Membership categories (Full, Country, Colt Plus, Colt, Off Peak and Junior) can book 15 days in advance. Flexi Point users can book 14 days in advance. General visitors can book up to 12 days in advance. Tee times go live at 8am.

Open/Closed Tee Times - To give members the chance to play with other members and to increase capacity we operate with a hybrid system of open and closed tee times. Most local clubs operate all day every day with "open tee times".

Open Tee Times are from 8.30am - 1pm every day.

During these times members are able to add their names to other member's bookings. EG a two ball of members may be joined by another one or two members. During these times your tee time may be moved forwards or backwards up to 8 minutes to allow bookings to be paired to increase members capacity. No vistitors can be added to members bookings although visitors may be paired up to create more capacity.

Closed tee times are before 8.30am and after 1pm every day.

During these times once a member has booked the time only that member can add another member or guest to the booking. EG a two ball of members may book and they will not be moved or have anyone added to their time.

Members Guests - Full Membership categories can sign in guests at a 25% off discounted green fee 7 days a week. Please see the green fee page for rates.

Competitions - We hold a full diary of competitions and social golf events. These are open to all membership categories. Details can be found on the competition page.

Club Roll Ups - We have a mixed social roll up every Tuesday at 12PM for members and visitors to meet and play social golf in a relaxed and friendly environment. Anyone can turn up from 1130-1145 on Tuesdays and we will arrange for you to play in the roll up. We also have a more competitive roll up on Saturday mornings. Please ask in the shop about this. It is a great way to meet new friends and enjoy the game of golf.

Seniors Section (Over 55) & Roll Ups - For those members that are over 55 you are welcome to join the seniors on Mondays,Wednesdays and Friday mornings for their competitions and roll ups. Full details can be found on the seniors webpage here. Our seniors section also plays matches against other clubs.

Ladies Section & Roll Ups - The ladies section operates a number of competitions, social golf and roll ups throughout the week. Details can be found on the ladies section webpage here. Our ladies section also plays matches against other clubs.

Reciprocals - All members are entitled to use our reciprocal agreements with other golf clubs. Some of these are free of charge and some offer a heavy discount. Full details can be found here.

Golf Buggies - We are fortunate to have a golf buggy path here at Ferndown Forest that enables play all year round. Members receive a discounted rate on buggy hire of 20% off the full price. We also offer 20 golf buggy memberships each year that allow unlimited buggy hire for 12 months. This is heavily discounted and is aimed at those golfers that struggle to play without a buggy.
